Entry Guidelines - For Tri-State (VT, NH, MA) Artists, 18 and Older
ELIGIBILITY
Entries must be original and have been executed by the person in whose name they are submitted. Each artist may submit a maximum of 4 (four) entries. Entries will be accepted in the following three categories: Painting and 2 Dimensional Art, Photography and Sculpture. Any incomplete application, fee or images that are not labeled or formatted correctly or are of poor quality will be returned to the artist and will not be eligible for entry. All final entries must be completely assembled and/or framed, and ready for display, as recommended by each selection juror.
ENTRY
Images, application form and entry fees must be received by June 15th, 2011. Application form must be signed. Entry fee is not refundable. A self-addressed, stamped envelope (with sufficient postage) must be included with your application if you would like your materials returned. Applications can be obtained by emailing request to newfaneart@gmail.com or mailing to Newfane Business Association at P.O. Box 348 Newfane, VT 05345.
ENTRY LABELING
Preliminary judging of entries will be done from digital images sent through email or by CD. Digital images submitted must be 300 dpi, with largest dimension no larger than 6”, in jpeg format. Please label files as follows:

Entry fees are $25…for up to 4 (four) entries. Please make check or money order payable to:

JUROR SELECTION
The jurors and art show committee have the option, upon receipt of the preselected work, to reject any works not commensurate with submitted images.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Notification of juror’s decision will be by email.
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK
Artworks selected for the Newfane Fine Art Show will be received on Friday, July 22rd, 2011. Please deliver between the hours of 9am-12pm this day at the Newfane Union Hall, at West Street in Newfane, VT 05345. Please make any other arrangements by email: newfaneart@gmail.com.
Display will be at the discretion of the Newfane Business Association Art Committee.
SALES
A commission of 20% will be charged on all sales. All proceeds will benefit the Newfane Business Association. All work purchased must be removed by the end of exhibit or arrangements must be made with artist.
Participating artists may choose to offer prints and/or cards of their work for sale. Must be packaged and presented properly. 20% commission applies.
LIABILITY
Liability and insurance on artwork are total responsibility of the artist.
PICK UP OF ARTWORK
All work submitted for exhibition must be removed at the close of the exhibition. Please make any other arrangements (i.e. having another specific person picking up articles) by email at: newfaneart@gmail.com.
AWARDS
$100 First Prize awards will be given in each category of Painting and 2 Dimensional Art, Photography and Sculpture. Best of Show and People’s Choice will be awarded $100 each. Honorable Mention in all three categories will receive ribbons.
EXHIBITION & AWARDS TIME-FRAME
The Newfane Fine Art Show exhibition will run July 23th and 24th, from 10am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Awards will be presented Sunday July 24th at 4pm.
Reception for Artists & Patrons
New this year! Artists and patrons are invited to a reception the evening before the show opens. Please join us on Friday, July 22rd at 7 PM. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
